Flybe to close two Scottish bases and cut jobs

Flybe has announced plans to close two of its four Scottish bases – ¬Aberdeen and Inverness – with the loss of 47 jobs. The regional airline also plans to cut more than 50 more jobs as it cuts unprofitable routes. Although Flybe will continue flights from Edinburgh and Glasgow airports, 37 posts would be cut at Glasgow with a further 49 lost at Edinburgh from January.
