Cebu Pacific Air Group has posted a net income of PHP7.7 billion ($164 million) for the six months to June 30, compared to PHP5.2 billion reported in the prior-year period. Revenue rose by 15.8% to PHP34.3 billion, boosted by a 20% jump in ancillary revenues to PHP6.1 billion. Fuel costs fell by 15.2% during the reporting period. The Philippines-based carrier reported an 8.7% increase in passenger traffic during the first half of the year, carrying just over 10 million passengers. Load factor rose by 6.1 percentage points to 87.2%.
