Biman Bangladesh to restart domestic services

Biman Bangladesh Airlines will tentatively resume domestic operations within the next two months.

Bangladesh media said that the parliament told the carrier’s representatives to either buy or lease small aircraft to allow for the resumption of the flights, suspended since 2011.

The airline was to have resumed the flights in March, then June this year using ATR72s, only to abandon the plans at a late stage.

Domestic airline services in Bangladesh are currently provided by Novo Air, Regent Airways, United Airways, and US-Bangla Airlines.
