Wizz Air's passengers were up 2.1% year-on-year (YoY) in May 2024 to 5.1 million. Its load factor was up 0.7 percentage point YoY to 91% in the month, with the airline citing ""strong management action"" in balancing passenger volumes and yield progression.
Its capacity was up 1.2% to 5.6 million seats, reflecting the ""continuing impact of GTF engine-related groundings"", the airline said.
Wizz Air celebrated its 20th anniversary of its first flight from Katowice to London Luton which took place in May 2004.
