SMBC Aero Engines Lease (SAEL) has completed an additional sale and leaseback transaction with US-based carrier Breeze Airways involving one Pratt & Whitney PW1524G engine in April 2025. The company shared the deal on June 26, 2025.
This transaction marks the fourth engine lease agreement between SAEL and Breeze Airways.
“Breeze is a fast-growing and innovative airlines, and we are proud to support their continued development,” said SAEL MD & CEO Roger Welaratne. “This transaction reflects our strong, trust-based relationship and long-term commitment to our partners.”
Breeze Airways founder and CEO David Neeleman said: “SAEL has been a great partner as Breeze has continued to grow its fleet and network.”
The deal is part of the company's strategy to provide “flexible and competitive” engine leasing solutions to its airline customers.
