Saudia Cargo has added one A330-300P2F freighter to its fleet under a wet lease agreement with ASL Aviation.
The aircraft will be operated by ASL Airlines Ireland and is expected to enter service in September, with formal delivery to Saudia Cargo expected in the fourth quarter.
The deal is part of a two-aircraft aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance (ACMI) lease with full operational support provided by ASL. A second A330-300P2F is scheduled to arrive later this year.
“Expanding our capacity and global reach is a strategic imperative,” said Loay Mashabi, CEO of Saudia Cargo. “This addition strengthens our network and supports Saudi Arabia’s vision to be a global logistics hub.”
The addition marks the return of the A330 freighter to ASL Airlines Ireland’s fleet, which currently includes 737 and ATR72 freighters. ASL operates over 50 regular cargo routes across Europe, North America, and Asia with a fleet of 40 aircraft.
The A330-300P2F can carry up to 62 tonnes of cargo over a range of 6,850 km (3,700 nautical miles), with 26 main deck and 11 lower deck pallet positions.
