Romanian carrier DAN AIR has launched direct scheduled flights to Damascus, connecting Syria's capital with Bucharest, Frankfurt, Berlin, and Stockholm.
“Romania and Syria share a long-standing relationship, and our peoples are linked by history,” said DAN AIR CEO Matt Ian David. “We are proud of the trust our partners place in DAN AIR and of the fact that we operate these flights under rigorous safety protocols and comprehensive security checks, fully aligned with international standards.”
The new routes were facilitated through bilateral agreements between the two countries.
Return flights to Damascus from Bucharest will operate six times per week. Return flights from Stockholm, Berlin, and Frankfurt to the Syrian capital will each operate twice per week. All flights will be operated by the airline's A320 aircraft with a capacity of 180 seats.
