Lufthansa Group will equip its entire 850-aircraft fleet with the high-speed Wi-Fi solution from 2026 onwards.
This will be installed both within its existing fleet and new aircraft.
The new internet service will be free of charge for all status customers and travel ID users across all travel classes.
Lufthansa said this investment is part of the group's extensive investments in new aircraft, premium product and service innovations.
“The Lufthansa Group is taking the next step and setting an essential milestone for the premium travel experience of our customers," said Lufthansa Group chief commercial officer Dieter Vranckz. "Connectivity on board plays an important role today, and with Starlink, we are not only investing in the best product on the market, but also in the satisfaction of our passengers.”
The gradual introduction of Starlink on board of Lufthansa Group aircraft will begin as early as the second half of 2026. By 2029, the entire fleet will be equipped with the new connectivity offering.
