A court ruling in Rome has ordered Aeroitalia to rebrand after citing similarities to ITA Airways' Alitalia branding, according to local media reports.
As a result, Aeroitalia will have to change its name and logo. The judges found there to be a high level of resemblance in both instances.
The dispute first began in late 2023 when ITA Airways challenged Aeroitalia's branding. The latter will reportedly have to disable its website domain in the coming days, and will have rebrand throughout the EU by the start of next year.
