Finnair said it will cancel approximately 60 flights on May 16 as a result of the Finnish Aviation Union (IAU) holding industrial action at Helsinki Airport. The industrial action follows similar actions and subsequent flight cancellations earlier in the month.
Finnair's chief operating officer Jaako Schildt apologised to customers and said the company is, “doing our best to offer our customers new routing as quickly as possible”.
The four-hour industrial actions impact various functions at the airport such as ground handling operations and catering services.
