euroAtlantic Airways has appointed Joao Semedo as its new accountable manager.
Semedo previously held the position from 2018 to 2023.
The appointment was announced following approval from the Portuguese National Authority of Civil Aviation (ANAC).
The Portuguese wet-leasing and charter services provider said Semedo returns with “expanded expertise and valuable insights” after two years in senior management positions within the aviation industry.
As part of this transition, Semedo has been appointed to the board, following the stepping down of former board member Joao Nunes. Semedo will now join chair and CEO Stewart Higginson and CFO Rita Santos to form a new board of directors.
“We would like to thank Joao Nunes for his valuable contribution and dedicated service to euroAtlantic," said Higginson. ”Since 2023, he has significantly contributed to the strategic development of the company."
