Chapman Freeborn names Saska Gerasimova as new group CEO

Chapman Freeborn, a UK-based global air charter company, has appointed Saska Gerasimova as its new group CEO, effective October 20.

Gerasimova will take over from Eric Erbacher, who will move to a new role as chairman of the board of directors at Chapman Freeborn Holdings.

Gerasimova brings to the role a range of experience in aviation leasing, air freight, logistics, and fleet management.

She joins Chapman Freeborn from Amazon Air Europe, where she served as senior supply chain manager, and has previously served as fleet director and leasing manager at Smartwings Group.

Looking ahead, Gerasimova said that Chapman Freeborn has a “well-defined” long-term strategy centred around its 2030 plan.

“Achieving our aims will require a clear focus on customers, strategic delivery, and market presence,” she said.

“I look forward to building close, trust-based relationships with our clients, and to supporting the team in our ongoing development while facilitating strong connections across our organisation.

“I will be travelling regularly to our regional hubs to meet with our experienced professionals and gain a deep understanding of local operations in each of our locations."
