B&H Worldwide expands helicopter logistics with Bell 429 move to Singapore

B&H Worldwide has strengthened its rotary-wing logistics capabilities with the movement of a Bell 429 helicopter from India to Singapore, supporting its return to Bell Textron's regional maintenance hub.

The helicopter was transported on a Boeing 747 freighter in seven cargo pieces under a contract awarded by Continental Carriers — B&H Worldwide's partner in India.

The Indian team managed the technical activities at origin, including teardown and palletisation, while B&H Worldwide's Singapore station led the destination logistics and import phase.

In Singapore, the company coordinated customs clearance, arranged an air-ride suspension transporter, confirmed site constraints such as vehicle height limits, and ensured specialist tie-down expertise to support safe unloading and onward delivery to the MRO facility.

“Helicopter logistics demand a different level of planning and coordination, particularly at destination,” said B&H Worldwide Singapore operations manager Terry Ooi.

“By identifying site limitations and handling requirements early, we can eliminate unnecessary risk, prevent delays, and ensure a smooth handover to the MRO facility.”

Continental Carriers VP of aerospace & defence Anuraag Maahrotra said: "We value this continued partnership and look forward to supporting many more complex helicopter movements together in the future.”
