ANA to secure "stable supply" of spare aircraft for domestic routes

ANA Group — comprising of the All Nippon Airways (ANA), Peach, and AirJapan brands — said it will “secure a stable supply of spare aircraft” to maintain and improve punctuality on its domestic routes.

For full year 2025, the total number of domestic flights operated by ANA and Peach is expected to remain roughly the same compared to 2024. The group said it is optimising aircraft allocation deployment, as well as its flight schedules to “strengthen” its ability to respond to “irregular operations”.

“ANA and Peach will maximise demand by leveraging the strengths of both airlines,” the group said in a statement.

The company said its brands will meet the strong demand in 2025 for its international routes, operating at 108% of 2024's flight numbers. Peach and AirJapan will consider expanding their respective Asia routes during the year ahead. The company said AirJapan will continue to operate three international routes from Tokyo's Narita airport to “capture inbound demand to Japan”. In addition, AirJapan will receive new aircraft in 2025 to prepare for further expansion of international route, especially into Asia. The specific international routes for Peach and AirJapan will be announced at a later date.

“2025 will be a year of continued sustainable growth and strategic expansion for the ANA Group,” said ANA president and CEO Koji Shibata. “Leveraging the operational and network strengths of ANA, Peach, and AirJapan, we will meet rising global travel demand while delivering safe, convenient and reliable service for our customers.”

The company added that it will maximise cargo profitability by combining cargo space on dedicated freighters and passenger aircraft. In addition, the company aims to develop cargo demand for high value merchandise, including semiconductor-related merchandise, further driving profitability of its cargo business.
