American Airlines flight attendants reject new contract

He Association of Professional Flight Attendants, which represents American Airlines flight attendants, has rejected the proposed five-year contract, which included guaranteed raises but ended a profit-sharing plan. Just 16 votes blocked the contract. The two parties will now enter into a binding arbitration process.

American Airlines said in a statement that it was "disappointed" by the vote.
