Air Astana and its subsidiary FlyArystan have secured a long-term power-by-the-hour (PBH) component support contract with AJW Group, covering their expanding A320 family fleet.
The agreement supports an initial fleet of 56 Airbus aircraft, including A320ceo family aircraft and A320neo family (including the A321XLR).
“As we continue to grow our A320 and A321 fleet, including next-generation aircraft, this agreement provides us with the operational confidence and component support we need,” said Air Astana CEO Peter Foster.
This new agreement for the A320 family fleet marks AJW's return to supporting Air Astana's narrowbody operations.
“Our relationship with Air Astana spans two decades, and this agreement reflects the trust built through that partnership,” said AJW Group chairman Christopher Whiteside. “With Air Astana’s growing and increasingly sophisticated fleet, we look forward to delivering reliable, cost-effective, PBH support throughout the next phase of their expansion.”
AJW Group has supported the airline since 2006, initially on its Boeing 757 fleet, which has since retired. AJW has also previously supported Air Astana's Airbus A320ceo fleet from 2011 to early 2019, as well as currently supporting the company's 767 fleet with the contract recently being extended by a further two years.
