Airways New Zealand systems at Christchurch International Airport have been restored and are now operational again after severe weather had disrupted services.
Airways New Zealand general manager people and partnerships Jamie Gray said lightning strikes had affected some of the critical infrastructure at the airport, resulting in some flights being cancelled or diverted, although the airport remained open.
