Latvian airline airBaltic passenger numbers increased 6% in May 2025, totalling 458,900 in the month. This comes despite the number of flights dropping slightly from 4,320 in May 2024 to 4,300 this year.
The increase in passengers reflects the higher load factor, increasing 3.4 percentage points to 78.6%. The airline said this was driven by improvements made to its operational efficiency.
For the first five months of the year, airBaltic carried 1.9 million passengers across all of its bases, an 8% increase compared to the same period last year.
