Air Astana has signed a firm order for 25 Airbus A320neo family aircraft, the airline's largest ever direct order with Airbus.
The order includes 20 A321neo and five A320neo aircraft.
“Air Astana's large order for a new fleet of Airbus A320neo family aircraft reflects a commitment to maintaining its reputation for operational efficiency and service excellence in the long term,” said Air Astana CEO Peter Foster.
The airline, along with its low-cost subsidiary FlyArystan, will deploy the new aircraft as part of its overall fleet expansion and renewal. The group currently operates a fleet of 59 Airbus A320 family aircraft.
The firm order follows the airline finalising an order for up to 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft last month. The order comprises of five firm, five options, and five purchase rights.
