London Gatwick is celebrating its 65th anniversary this month as the airport prepares for a busy schedule ahead and continues to recover from pandemic woes. As per Cirium, Gatwick is scheduled for at least 12,281 departures, equating to over 3.2 million seats, making the airport the UK’s second-busiest. The number of departures is 5% below the pre-pandemic mark of 2019. In June, Gatwick will host scheduled flights to 184 destinations, inching closer to 2019 mark which saw scheduled flights to 208 destinations. Given the increasing figures the airport has been seeing, it’s forecasted to have at least 130,072 annual departures
