Aircraft interior manufacturer B/E Aerospace has chosen the Philippines as the site of its new $30-million factory. The facility will produce Airbus kitchen structures for the Airbus A350XWB. “[We chose the Philippines because of its] good government tax policies for foreign direct investments, strong people skills and competitive labor rates,” says development director Mark Henke. “Future expansion [could be possible] for different products and probably against contract awards.” The facility will be located in the First Philippine Industrial Park economic zone in Batangas, and will export its output to Marseille and Toulouse in France by 2012.
