Three airlines: Philippine Airlines, Tiger Asia and Hainan Air, have informally raised interest in the low-cost regional carrier Zest Air. However, chairman of Zest Air Donald Dee has declared that the airline isn’t interested in their offers. Price may have been a consideration, says local media.
According to Dee, Zest Air is very attractive to other airlines as it is a "no carry, no negative, no debt" airline with an average load factor of 70% on routes into China, Korea and it will soon fly into Kuala Lumpur.
