Two women are suing employer Virgin Blue over claimed they were made redundant because they were pregnant. The two women, who both worked in the public affairs department, claim they were terminated in the same week in mid-2010 without any consultation.
A Virgin Blue spokeswoman said the company completely rejected the allegations, and that the company is “an industry leader in supporting working mothers".
Legal action begins by the two women in the Federal Court next week, who claim their lives and careers were seriously disrupted by Virgin Blue’s behaviour.
