TSA safety check capacity reducing

The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has stated that it is close to capacity for airport checkpoints. Passenger screening lanes at US airports are increasing at a rate of about 4.5%-5% annually, even though US passenger traffic has stagnated.
New technology is needed to help speed throughput at screening checkpoints. The TSA is working on modeling and simulation programs to help the agency better analyze checkpoint efficiency.
