Luxembourg charter carrier Strategic Airlines has grounded all flights after entering administration procedures. The final straw seems to have been the loss of a contract from UK tour operator Olympic Holidays.
The airline formally went into administration on October 4. Creditors have been given until October 22 to submit claims.
The airline operated two A320s from three Manchester, Gatwick and Birmingham airports to holiday destinations in Greece and Cyprus on behalf of Olympic Holidays.
