An A320 charter aircraft, operated by Small Planet Airlines flying from Paderborn in German, ran off the runway at Birmingham Airport in the UK yesterday and ended up on the grass verge. The aircraft, carrying 98 people, "manoeuvred" off the tarmac while it was taxing to the terminal after touching down, said officials. No injuries were reported and all passengers disembarked safely. The aircraft was towed out of the grass some two hours later and back onto the taxiway.
