ExpressJet Holdings shareholders have approved its proposed acquisition by rival SkyWest. The deal, which is expected to close today, will create one of the largest regional airlines.
SkyWest is buying ExpressJet for $6.75 a share, or $133 million after accounting for ExpressJet shares it already owned. The acquisition has been approved by the US government.
