Singapore Airlines has begun direct flights between Istanbul and Singapore this week. The carrier will operate the route four times a week. Previously SIA flew via Dubai to Istanbul.
"Direct flights will reduce the flight time between the two cities by two hours and 25 minutes," said Singapore Airlines Turkey's director general Ang Beng Siong.
