Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has sold a pair of London Heathrow slots to Turkish Airlines (THY), reducing its total daily slot pairs to 19. THY will take over the slot pair, purchased for $22 million, from October 25. SAS sold another slot earlier this year for an $82 million capital gain.
SAS plans to operate larger aircraft on its remaining Heathrow services and, potentially, fly into other airports in the London region.
