South African Airways (SAA) may soon offer flights between Accra and London. SAA has been granted the right to fly from Accra by Ghana. The airline already flies from Accra to Washington DC.
Ghana hopes to position Accra as a hub location in the same vein as Dubai and Singapore. The government is working on a timetable for a new national airline and expects to have a first flight by October, with regional routes, although firmer details have not yet been clarified.
