Rolls-Royce and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) provider CirculAIRity have signed a letter of intent to help drive efforts aimed at transitioning to more sustainable energy sources.
The two companies will work together to promote Rolls-Royce technology and CirculAIRity’s synthetic fuels as a national resource for both civil and military aviation. They will also advocate for the use of synthetic fuels as a fundamental enabler for the decarbonisation of fuels for aerospace applications.
Opportunities are also being evaluated to explore and extend the relationship between CirculAIRity with the broader Rolls-Royce group technology portfolio.
The company was also upgraded by Fitch Ratings on March 6, 2025, to BBB+ with a positive outlook.
“These metrics are complemented by a strong business profile, exemplified by a leading market position in the commercial aerospace engine segment as well as solid positions in the defence and power systems segments,” Fitch said.
Fitch said Rolls-Royce is likely to continue improving its core underlying profitability.
