Airline software business Rainmaker has secured €1.5 million from the Diageo Ulster Bank venture capital fund, which is managed by NCB Ventures, a division of the NCB stockbroking firm.
Rainmaker is run by former CityJet executive Pat Byrne.
Rainmaker has developed specialist applications that provide airlines with web-based access to real time information on the performance of flight operations such as crew utilisation and pay and fuel management. Its products focus mainly on managing and reducing costs.
