QantasLink, the regional arm of Qantas Airways, will begin operating flights to Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands from November 3, 2025, under a five-year agreement with the Australian Government.
The new services will connect the Indian Ocean territories - home to over 2,500 residents - with Perth, offering both passenger and dedicated freight capacity.
Flights will operate twice weekly using all-economy A319 and A320 aircraft, the airline said.
QantasLink CEO Rachel Yangoyan said the airline was "proud to have been selected by the Australian Government to provide these essential services to the Indian Ocean Territories."
The partnership is expected to support government operations, tourism, and logistics in the two remote territories, while also giving more Australians access to the islands via Qantas’ broader domestic and international network.
