Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari on a visit to Kuwait yesterday confirmed that a deal has been reached with Kuwait to settle a legal dispute regarding Iraq's national airline.
Kuwait claimed that Iraq stole 10 airplanes and millions of dollars in equipment when Saddam Hussein's forces invaded in 1990 and had demanded $1.2 billion in payments going back 20 years.
More details on the terms of the deal have not yet been released.
