Qatar and Syria have concluding a new open skies air transport agreement in Damascus. The agreement, signed by Qatar Civil Aviation Authority chairman Abdul Aziz al-Noaimi and Syria Civil Aviation Authority director-general Mohamed Iyad Zidane, will enable Qatar Airways to operate 21 weekly passenger flights to Damascus, seven to Aleppo and ‘unlimited’ numbers to other Syrian cities. It also is able to operate unlimited number of cargo flights to Syria.
