The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Boeing 717-200 airplanes. This AD was prompted by multiple reports of cracking in the overwing frames. This AD requires repetitive inspections for cracking in the overwing frames, and corrective actions if necessary. This AD is effective April 15, 2014.
