The DAA has announced that once a threshold of 23.5 million passengers is reached at the three airports it manages in Dublin, Cork and Shannon in 2011 all airport charges for additional passengers will be rebated to carriers in early 2012, based on each airline's proportion of the total traffic at the airports in 2011. "This innovative scheme will encourage airlines to maintain and grow their traffic from Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports next year," DAA’s Director of Strategy Vincent Harrison stated.
