GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) has signed a purchase and leaseback transaction with Spirit Airlines for six new Airbus A320 aircraft to expand the carrier’s fleet.
GECAS delivered the first aircraft to Spirit in March. The remainder deliver in 2013 with all six aircraft coming from Spirit’s existing order book with Airbus.
Spirit operates more than 200 daily flights with an all-Airbus fleet to over 50 destinations within the US, Latin America and Caribbean.
