GA Telesis wins CFM56 overhaul contract from Garuda Indonesia

GA Telesis Engine Services, the MRO arm of GA Telesis, has secured a contract to provide CFM56-7B engine overhaul services for the Garuda Indonesia Group.

The agreement, awarded following a competitive tender process, covers maintenance of the CFM56-7B engines powering Garuda’s Boeing 737 Next‑Generation fleet. The first engine under the contract is already being transported to the company’s overhaul facility in Helsinki, Finland.

Gunnar Sigurfinnsson said the award highlights the company’s capability to deliver independent engine MRO services with competitive turnaround times, while Avinash Singh noted the deal strengthens the group’s position in the Asia-Pacific market.

Garuda Indonesia director of maintenance Pak Mukhtaris said the airline selected GA Telesis to support the performance and reliability of its CFM56-powered narrowbody fleet.
