UK regional carrier Eastern Airlines has complained that compliance with European Union’s Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) for precise fuel usage recording is too complex. The airline claims that collecting data on which they are calculated doubles the cost and is too much for smaller flyers. The airline has asked the UK government to review the ETS reporting process and procedures.
