Ethiopian Airlines expands Middle East connectivity with new service to Jizan, Saudi Arabia

Ethiopian Airlines has announced the launch of a new service from Addis Ababa to Jizan, Saudi Arabia, effective February 1, 2026. The service will run four times weekly.

Upon launch, Jizan will be the fifth destination in Saudi Arabia to be added to Ethiopian’s network, joining Jeddah, Dammam,  Riyadh, and Madinah.

Ethiopian currently operates over 40 weekly passenger and cargo flights to Saudi Arabia, and 136 weekly services to 14 destinations across the wider Middle East and Gulf region.

In addition to its direct services, Ethiopian also offers flights to offline destinations through codeshares with multiple carriers in the Middle East and Gulf regions, including Saudia, Oman Air, Kuwait Airways, Gulf Air, and Etihad Airways.

Ethiopian is the largest carrier in Africa by fleet size, operating 167 aircraft. Its fleet includes new-technology Boeing 737s, 777s, 787s, Airbus A350-900s, A350-1000s, and De Havilland Q400s.
