easyJet has agreed to acquire the Adria Tehnika maintenance facility in Brnik, Slovenia, as part of its strategy to bring its base maintenance operations in house.
The acquisition of the five-bay facility is expected to close in early 2026, subject to regulatory approvals, and the Adria Tehnika team will continue to be led by CEO Barbara Perko Brvar, who will remain based in Slovenia.
The Brnik facility has conducted heavy maintenance on easyJet aircraft for over a decade, and the airline plans to invest in growing the facility over the coming years.
“We have entrusted Adria Tehnika with over 200 heavy maintenance inputs on our fleet of Airbus aircraft,” said Brendan McConnellogue, director of engineering and maintenance at easyJet.
“We are really pleased to be acquiring the facility along with its skilled workforce, which will help us further our aim of bringing more of our maintenance in house.”
In May 2024, easyJet finalised a similar agreement to acquire the SR Technics maintenance facility in Malta.
In other easyJet news, this week the low-cost carrier announced two new routes for summer 2026.
Starting next August, easyJet will fly twice weekly from Liverpool to Naples, and starting next September, it will fly twice weekly from London Stansted to Munich.
