A CNY 290 million ($42.2 million) deal has been signed to build two new sections of Cambodia's Siem Reap Angkor International Airport.
The contract has been awarded to China’s Shanxi Mechanization Construction Group and includes construction of terminals, aprons, a runway, earthworks and drainage.
The airport will be built in three phases over 10 years, and will eventually handle 7-10 million passengers annually.
The 700-hectare (1,730-acre) airport will be the country’s largest.
