Cebu Pacific has decided to cancel a planned new route between Cebu and Taipei as relations between Taiwan and the Philippines sour following the killing of a Taiwanese fisherman by coastguards.
Cebu Pacific spokesperson Candice Iyog says flights between Manila and Taipei will continue. She said "it would be a bit difficult to start [the new route] with the current tension... some passengers [had] already requested refunds or travel changes."
