Günter Butschek has been appointed executive vice president of operations at Airbus. He will replace Gerald Weber from March 1, who announced his departure in November after four years.
Butschek joins from Daimler, where he was chief executive officer of Beijing Benz Automotive. He will also become chairman of the board of management of Airbus in Germany and join the company’s executive committee.
