Azerbaijan airline AZAL has confirmed plans to postpone a $1 billion contract with Boeing to purchase 10 737 Max jets, a spokesman has confirmed.
The decision, which it's said is because of "safety reasons" follows fatal crashes involving the aircraft in Ethiopia which killed 157 people and five months earlier a Lion Air crash in Indonesia that killed 189.
The 737 Max jets have been grounded since March, with no word on when they'll fly again.
