All Nippon Airlines (ANA) has carried out its first test flight of the 787 using the new battery. Ray Conner, president of Boeing's consumer airline division, and Shinichiro Ito, president of ANA, were aboard the ANA test flight, which safely completed a two-hour journey before returning to Tokyo's Haneda Airport on Sunday.
