Air New Zealand has agreed to settle class-action lawsuit in the US that claims airlines colluded over cargo fuel and security surcharges between 2000 and 2006. The airline will pay US$35 million although hasn't admitted being part of the alleged conspiracy as part of the settlement.
Some 26 other airlines have already settled the lawsuit – Air New Zealand and Air India were the final two remaining.
