airBaltic expands codeshare partnership with Lufthansa

airBaltic has expanded its codeshare partnership with Lufthansa to cover flights between Riga and Frankfurt, providing greater transit connectivity for passengers travelling via Frankfurt to onward Lufthansa destinations.

Lufthansa will place its LH code on airBaltic-operated flights between Riga and Frankfurt, while airBaltic will place its BT code on Lufthansa-operated flights on the same route.

The codeshare will apply only to transit flights via Frankfurt, and tickets are already available for purchase on each airline's website.

airBaltic and Lufthansa have maintained a codeshare partnership since December 2020, initially covering flights to Munich from airBaltic’s bases in Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius.

The Latvian flag carrier now connects to more than 80 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region.
