Air Astana, the flag carrier airline of Kazakhstan, has taken delivery of a new Airbus A321neo aircraft as it continues to expand its fleet and network.

The aircraft, delivered on April 3 from Airbus’s facility in Hamburg, brings the Air Astana Group’s total fleet to 63 aircraft.

The airline said the addition will support capacity growth and the further development of its domestic and international route network.

Air Astana’s fleet is predominantly composed of Airbus aircraft, which the company said supports operational efficiency and reliability through fleet commonality.

The A321neo is part of Airbus’s latest generation of aircraft and is designed to offer improved fuel efficiency, enhanced passenger comfort and reduced environmental impact.

The new aircraft is expected to be deployed across both domestic and international routes.
